Take on the biggest terrain without the penalty, long travel doesnt have to mean single purpose. The Spire blends dh bike capability with mid-travel efficiency in such a way its almost two bikes in one. A delicately tuned pedalling and pumping platform, super supple beginning stroke sensitivity and all the travel you could ask for makes for a mind bending ride. Happily climb up to your favourite challenging descent, then cruise on over to your local flow trail and youll be rewarded on both ends of the spectrum. Dont be fooled though, while it's no one-trick pony the Spire lives to push your limits.

Get in-Spired.

Spire complete bikes come equipped with suspension from Fox, Rockshox or Marzocchi to take the biggest of hits. Powerful four piston brakes with big rotors front and rear help keep you in control. Schwalbe Magic Mary and Big Betty super trail tires offer you great cornering traction and braking performance in a variety of conditions. All build levels and sizes include 165mm cranks, a Oneup dropper post and a Oneup bash guide to ensure nothing holds you back

-
The Spire alloy features a frame made from tough and dependable 6061 aluminium to strike the right balance of frame strength, durability and ride quality.

All frames see protection on downtube, chainstay and seatstay. S, m and l sizes share 446mm chainstay lengths and xl and xxl share 452mm chainstay lengths. All frames are equipped with a geo adjust chip at the lower shock mount for high and low geometry settings, and 56mm/56mm press in headset cups that are compatible with reach adjust headsets when used with a dual crown fork. All frames are compatible with 27.5 rear wheels in the high geo adjust position.

With nearly 23% progression and the most current evolution of our Giddyup suspension kinematic, the Spire has an excellent balance of support and small bump sensitivity. Anti-squat is tuned to enhance pedalling performance and provides a platform to push against when pumping, without sacrificing a bottomless feel when needed.

The Giddyup suspension layout is tuned to work correctly with both air and coil rear shocks. Riders are able to add or remove volume spacers in the rear air shock to suit their individual riding style and there is plenty of bottom out control with air or coil shocks when things get rowdy. The Spire has 170mm of rear wheel travel when used with the supplied 205mm x 65mm stroke shock. It is also possible to install a shorter, 205mm x 60mm stroke shock to decrease the rear wheel travel to 160mm if you are after a shorter travel experience.

A suggested sag range of 27 - 33% allows the rider to tune the feel of the bike; from a firm and snappy jump and slash mode, to a more supple and active full on party mode. Wherever you end up, you can focus on the trail without remotes, levers or knobs. Just grab your bike and Giddyup.

Speed Balanced Geometry

SBG ensures the bike maintains low speed agility, front wheel traction, and proper rider weight balance while actually increasing confidence in steep terrain and at high speeds. With SBG, a slacker head tube angle is combined with a all new reduced offset fork standard, preventing the front wheel from being too far in front of the rider. This improves front to rear weight distribution on the bike, which is often out of balance on long and slack bikes. One of SBG's greatest benefits is that it creates a confident steering feel that adapts to wheel speed. More stability when going fast, more agility on technical slow speed manoeuvring as well as improved traction, control and confidence for any skill level of rider.

"The Spire pedals and cruises along extremely well. The large wheelbase is evident but is not an overpowering theme when navigating mellower terrain. The little bit we were able to let the Spire off the leash, it wanted to build speed, like, right now! With the progression Transition has put on this suspension platform, the Spire has some pop while still erasing small to medium sized trail obstacles." - VitalMTB.com

Transition Size Recommendation:

Small – 5’1” to 5’6”
Medium – 5’5” to 5’11”
Large – 5’9” to 6’3”
X-Large – 6’1 to 6’6”
XX-Large – 6’3” to 6’9”

Remember, there is no right or wrong size for you (within reason of course), pick the size that feels the most comfortable and confidence inspiring for your riding style.

A larger size frame will be more stable, and will give you more room to move without upsetting the weight-balance of the bike. The larger size will put the front wheel further in front of you, which gives the feeling of security and conversely, it will require more significant body movements when you WANT to shift the weight-bias of the bike. Think hard about your riding style and how active/intuitive you want it to be vs stable and speedy. You'll need to work a bit harder to muscle the larger bike around.
